Welcome to Nexus Luxury Lodge (“the Lodge”, “we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms apply to all reservations made directly through www.nexusluxurylodge.com or via third-party booking platforms, including but not limited to Booking.com, Airbnb, Expedia, or other Online Travel Agencies (“OTAs”).
By making a reservation, you agree to the following:
1. Booking Confirmation

All reservations are subject to availability and confirmation.

A booking is only confirmed once payment (deposit or full payment) has been successfully processed.

Guests booking through OTAs are also subject to the terms and conditions of the respective platform.
In case of any conflict between OTA policies and our policies, the OTA’s policy will apply to that booking.
2. Rates & Payment

Rates are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated.

OTA bookings may include commission or service fees charged directly by the platform.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before confirmation.

A valid payment method must be provided at the time of booking.
3. Security Deposit
We reserve the right to:

Pre-authorize or charge a refundable security deposit.

Deduct charges for damages, missing items, excessive cleaning, or rule violations.
For OTA bookings, security deposits may be handled in accordance with the platform’s policies.
4. Check-In & Check-Out

Guests must provide valid identification upon arrival where required by law.
Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
5. House Rules (OTA Consistent)
By booking, guests agree to:

No illegal activities.

Respect occupancy limits stated in the listing.

No smoking inside rooms (if applicable).
Failure to comply may result in:

Immediate termination of stay

Additional charges

Reporting to the OTA platform

6. Guest Responsibility & Damages
Guests are financially responsible for:

Damage to property
-
Loss of keys or access devices
-
Excessive cleaning requirements

Violations resulting in penalties
We reserve the right to charge the payment method on file in accordance with OTA dispute procedures.
7. No-Show Policy
Reservations not honored by 10:00 AM the day after check-in (without communication) will be treated as a no-show and charged in full.
8. Limitation of Liability
Nexus Luxury Lodge is not liable for:

Loss or theft of personal belongings

Injuries
-
Utility disruptions (e.g., load shedding, water interruptions)
-
Force majeure events (government restrictions, weather, natural disasters)
9. Force Majeure
We are not liable for cancellations or service interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
